Are all options equally likely?
Yes. Each option occupies the same angle, and the spin angle is chosen uniformly at random.
How many options can I add?
Up to about 20 before labels get crowded. For more, use the Random Picker instead.
Why is the winner seemingly random?
It is — the wheel uses a randomized spin. This is a fun tiebreaker, not a source of fairness guarantees.
Does it work on phones?
Yes — the canvas scales to fit your screen width.
Practical Example
Add five options — Pizza, Sushi, Burgers, Tacos, Salad. Each option gets an equal slice of 360° / 5 = 72°: Pizza 0-72°, Sushi 72-144°, Burgers 144-216°, Tacos 216-288° and Salad 288-360°. A spin that stops at 300° selects Salad. Because the stop angle is uniform, every option has a 1-in-5 chance on each spin.
- With repeats allowed, re-spinning uses the same full set every time.
What Your Results Mean
- Winner — the option whose slice is under the pointer when the wheel stops.
- Equal probability — each of N options wins with probability 1/N on every spin.
- Independent spins — the wheel has no memory, so past results do not affect the next spin.
